Meet Marianna Nersesyan

Hello, I am Marianna Nersesyan, your trusted estate planning attorney. I believe that estate planning goes far beyond drafting documents—it is about protecting your family, preserving your values, and ensuring that your legacy is passed on with clarity and intention.  My philosophy is rooted in educating clients so they can make confident and informed decisions. I take the time to counsel you through life’s toughest choices, providing guidance, clarity, and support at every stage. I refuse to provide “one size fits all planning.

Why My Firm Is Different

A Different Kind of Estate Planning Experience

I started my practice because I saw too many families in Los Angeles hurt by estate plans that simply didn’t work. Most firms take a “one-size-fits-all” approach to estate planning. They will hand you a stack of documents and call it a “plan.” But when the time comes, those documents are often out of date, incomplete, or never properly implemented. Families end up in court, in conflict, and paying thousands of dollars to fix problems that could have been avoided.

My Promise to You

At my firm, we do things differently. I believe in personalized service for every client.. When you work with me, you’re not just hiring an attorney to draft papers, you’re choosing a trusted advisor who will be with you and your family for life. My goal is to make sure you not only have the right plan in place, but that your plan continues to work as your life, your assets, and the law change.

How we Stand out:

Personalized Planning

I take the time to truly get to know you, your family, and your goals. Your plan is built around your values, what matters to you the most, and not a cookie-cutter form.

Education & Guidance

I walk you through the “why” behind each decision so you leave confident and informed, never overwhelmed.

Trust Funding Done Right

Unlike many firms, I don’t stop at creating your trust—I help make sure your assets are properly transferred into it, so your plan works when it’s needed..

Ongoing Relationship

Your life will change, and so will the law. We offer ongoing reviews and updates so your plan always stays current.

Education & Guidance

We see ourselves as teachers and counselors, not just lawyers. You’ll leave with clarity and confidence, not confusion.

A Law Firm for Families,  for Life

We believe estate planning is about more than transferring assets—it’s about building a legacy of love, security, and guidance for the people you care about most. That’s why we’re committed to being here for you and your family for the long run—not just today, but for life.

Why This Matters

We believe estate planning is about more than transferring assets—it’s about building a legacy of love, security, and guidance for the people you care about most. That’s why we’re committed to being here for you and your family for the long run—not just today, but for life.

Our Process

We’ve created a special 4-step process designed to make estate planning clear, manageable, and meaningful for every family. Each step is built to ensure that your plan reflects your values, protects your loved ones, and grows with you over time.

Step 1: The Asset & Legacy Planning Session

It all begins with your initial consultation, which we call the Asset & Legacy Planning Session.  This is more than just a meeting—it’s an educational experience. I take the time to truly listen to your concerns, your goals, and your vision for the future. Then, I guide you through the essentials of wills, trusts, and estate planning so that you understand your options clearly.  By the end of this session, you’ll have the knowledge you need to make informed decisions, and together we’ll start shaping a plan that’s right for you and your family.

Step 2: The Design Session

The next step is your Estate Plan Design Meeting. This is where we roll up our sleeves and begin crafting the details of your plan. Using the information you’ve shared in your Family Profile, we’ll dive deeper into your priorities and goals so your estate plan truly reflects your wishes.
During this session, we’ll work together to address important decisions, such as:

  • Who will act on your behalf if you become incapacitated, when they’ll step in, and how much authority they’ll have.
  • Your healthcare choices, including medical care and end-of-life decisions, and who will be entrusted to make those decisions for you.
  • Guardianship nominations for your minor children, if applicable, ensuring they’ll always be cared for by the people you choose.
  • How your assets will be distributed to your beneficiaries after your passing, in a way that aligns with your values and your vision for the future.
This session ensures that every decision is thoughtfully made, and that your plan provides clarity, protection, and peace of mind for both you and your loved ones.

Step 3: The Review Session

Next, we’ll meet via Zoom for your Document Review Meeting. At this session, we will carefully walk through the first draft of your estate planning documents together. My goal is to make sure you fully understand each document and feel confident that they reflect the decisions and choices we discussed during your Design Session.  After the review, I’ll make any updates or adjustments you request, so your plan is customized exactly the way you want it.

Step 4: The Signing Ceremony

The final step is your Signing Ceremony, which takes place in person at our office. With two witnesses and a notary present, we’ll ensure your documents are executed with all the required legal formalities. This session typically takes 30–45 minutes.  Once your plan is signed and notarized, we’ll scan and organize everything for you. You’ll leave with your original documents beautifully presented in a binder, along with a digital copy on a flash drive—so your plan is easy to access and ready to serve your family when needed.  With this four-step process, you’ll have more than just documents—you’ll have a plan that grows with you, keeps your family out of court and conflict, and preserves your legacy for generations to come.
